New Water Well Activated in Baba Amr to Improve Water Supply in Homs
The Homs Water Institution, in cooperation with Al-Bunyan Humanitarian Association, has put the Bab Al-Amr Martyrs’ Well into service in Bab Al-Amr neighborhood as part of the “Homs Wednesdays” initiative, aiming to improve water supply and reduce residents’ suffering from water shortages. The well is 165 meters deep with a pumping capacity of 40 cubic meters per hour, serving around 10,000 people. It is equipped with a submersible pump and a power generator to ensure continuous operation despite electricity outages. The project serves as an emergency solution amid declining water resources in Homs, while efforts continue to identify the most affected areas and support water projects. Al-Bunyan Association continues to support initiatives that strengthen water security.
Launch of the Second Phase of “Start and Improve Your Business” Program in Homs to Empower Youth and Support Entrepreneurship
The second phase of the “Start and Improve Your Business” program, internationally accredited by the International Labour Organization (ILO), has been launched at the Harmony Syriac Cultural Center in Homs, in cooperation with the Nahro Development Association.
