From Homs to Idlib… A Humanitarian Organization Continues Its Mission to Support Displaced Families in Camps
The “Office for Childcare, Motherhood, and Persons with Disabilities” continues its humanitarian mission in rural Idlib after originating in Homs in 2012, becoming one of Syria’s prominent initiatives supporting children, women, persons with disabilities, orphans, and displaced families. The organization began as a small volunteer group under difficult wartime conditions, facing attacks that led to the loss of staff members, before relocating to Idlib and continuing its work despite financial and operational challenges. It focuses on providing food, education, healthcare, and psychosocial support, especially for vulnerable groups, along with development projects such as water wells, housing units, schools, roads, and sanitation systems inside camps. After the so-called “liberation,” the organization expanded its projects to include educational, religious, and infrastructure initiatives while continuing to support affected families and honor the families of martyrs. Its ultimate goal is to achieve “zero tents” and ensure dignified living conditions for displaced people.

رابط الفيديو هو: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S8WB-J4rsk Young people in Homs launched simple but impactful volunteer and training initiatives that revitalized neighborhoods and provided them with new skills and opportunities, confirming that change begins with small steps and a spirit of cooperation.
